The KASA-Zia-Saeed Fund was born from this vision — a desire to serve, to uplift, and to invest in the kind of legacy that outlives us.

Planting the Seeds of Sadaqah Jariyah

Allah (SWT) reminds us in the Qur’an:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.”

(Surah Al Baqarah, 2:261)

This verse reminds us that every sincere act of giving has the potential to multiply far beyond what we can imagine. A single seed can grow into an orchard of reward — and that is the essence of this fund.

The KASA-Zia-Saeed Fund is dedicated to supporting Muslim students in their pursuit of higher education — without the burden of interest (riba). By partnering with A Continuous Charity, this initiative offers interest-free financial assistance to help students thrive academically and spiritually, grounded in dignity, empowerment, and faith.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

(Sahih Muslim, 1631)

This fund is our opportunity to embody all three.

It is ongoing charity, helping students year after year.
It supports the spread of beneficial knowledge, as students go on to teach, serve, and lead.

Why We Created the KASA-Zia-Saeed Fund

This fund is inspired by the values of education, faith, and service passed down by our elders — those who sacrificed quietly, loved for the sake of Allah, nurtured with compassion, and upheld the belief that knowledge (‘ilm) is a means of elevating the soul. Above all, they lived with sincerity and submission to Allah (subḥānahu wa taʿālā)

We created this fund to honor that legacy.
To give students the means to pursue their dreams without compromising their values.
To create an ecosystem where giving becomes generational, where our small efforts today build a stronger ummah tomorrow.
