The Deccan Legacy Fund was launched in March 2024 to support Deccan College of Medical Sciences (DCMS) alumni families in the U.S. This legacy fund was initiated by Dr. Anees Fatima, a committed DCMS alumni. Dr. Fatima believes strongly in the power of education and is dedicated to advancing the careers of the next generation of professionals. This initiative is a joint effort with A Continuous Charity (ACC), a charity that proudly invests in higher education by awarding, community-funded, interest-free educational loans.
In the U.S., student debt is a crisis which significantly hampers the educational potential of students. Interest-free loans from the Deccan Legacy Fund will alleviate these financial burdens, potentially reducing the typical 20-year period it takes most U.S. graduates to clear their student loan debt.
