Nuzhat & Hafeez Family Iqra Legacy Fund

Nuzhat was profoundly devoted to ensuring others had access to both worldly education and the knowledge of Islamic sciences. She dedicated many years to studying and applying innovative methodologies, imparting them to the young Ummah through instruction at schools and masjid learning centers. She firmly believed that knowledge — both Islamic and worldly — was the key to personal growth, societal progress, and a life of purpose. MashaAllah, her impactful career with the permission of Allah included PhD scholarship in Microbiology from the University of Montreal, serving as a college instructor in chemistry and physics, principal of both high school and elementary school, organizer of Dawah projects, Quran Tajweed and Quran Tafseer teacher, guest speaker at Islamic conferences, and founder and principal of the Masjid Al-Salaam and Education Center in Burnaby, BC, Canada. In her honor and to sustain this noble mission for the pleasure of Allah, this initiative stands as a form of sadaqah jariyah, established by her family, who remain steadfast in supporting young seekers of knowledge. Our goal is to empower students to excel in their professional careers while remaining firmly rooted in the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. With Allah’s Mercy and Will, we strive to continue the work Nuzhat so passionately championed by providing opportunities that enable students to pursue meaningful careers and contribute positively to the Ummah and the broader community for generations to come.
