Zakat Giving
Does A Continuous Charity Accept Zakat?
Yes, A Continuous Charity (ACC) accepts Zakat funds to assist Muslim students in achieving their educational goals while staying free of debt. Alhamdulillah, we strive to fulfill one of the core categories of Zakat: Al-Gharimeena, or supporting those burdened by debt.
How ACC Utilizes Zakat
According to Islamic guidance, one of the eligible recipients of Zakat is Al-Gharimeena, which refers to individuals who are debt-ridden or struggling to repay their debts. In alignment with this purpose, ACC directs Zakat contributions to assist students who have accumulated educational debt, ensuring they can complete their education without the weight of riba (interest).
Important Note: Zakat Funds Are Not Used for Riba-Free Loans
At ACC, we do not—and cannot—use Zakat funds to provide interest-free loans. Instead, we carefully identify students eligible for Zakat who are facing educational debt. With your Zakat, we directly pay down their student loans, helping them clear riba-bearing obligations and thereby fulfilling this important category of Zakat.
Consider Donating Sadaqah for Greater Impact
If possible, we recommend converting your Zakat donation to Sadaqah. Sadaqah funds allow ACC to address various needs across our organization, ensuring we can respond dynamically to the greatest areas of need. Your Sadaqah contribution supports a wide range of our programs, empowering us to provide maximum impact in helping students achieve a riba-free education.
Thank you for your generosity, and may Allah reward you abundantly for supporting ACC’s mission to foster accessible and debt-free education.
Your zakat, A Continuous Charity (ACC)
Through your zakat, A Continuous Charity (ACC) was able to support a dedicated student of knowledge engaged in the study of ʿilm. This support has directly contributed to the development of a complete foundational architecture for an Islamic studies curriculum—work that will benefit not just one student, but generations of students to come.
“This funding made it possible to complete the foundational architecture of a full Islamic studies curriculum centered around Sīrah, ʿAqīdah, Ḥadīth, Manṭiq, and ʿUlūm al-Qurʾān. The curriculum is grounded in classical Azharī sources and designed specifically for Muslim students in North America.
It is built on the principle that every Muslim student deserves access to the same intellectual and spiritual framework that formed the great scholars of our tradition.

This zakat is not only reaching one student—it is building a structure that will, in shā’ Allāh, reach thousands.”
Alḥamdulillāh, Phase 1 is now complete. As part of this effort, three major deliverables have been produced:
This is the impact of your zakat with ACC: empowering serious students of knowledge to build institutions, preserve tradition, and create pathways for others to access authentic Islamic learning.
Complete Structural Blueprint
A full five-discipline curriculum architecture, including 8-unit sequences, terminology alignment, and a teacher certification framework.
Curriculum Governance & Source Framework
Theological identity, tiered source standards, and citation protocols
The Transmission Standard
A three-tier teacher certification system, Academic Council charter, and governance matrix
This is the impact of your zakat with ACC: empowering serious students of knowledge to build institutions, preserve tradition, and create pathways for others to access authentic Islamic learning.

From Zakat to Global Impact
Alhamdulillah, when ACC learned of a student struggling to continue their Master’s due to financial hardship, we knew we had to act. Through Zakat funds, we were able to fully support their education.
Alhamdulillah, the student shared this incredible update in Ramadan of 2026.
They completed their final semester with straight A’s and went on to present their sustainability analytics research at Northeastern University’s Sustainability Innovation Expo, engaging global faculty and sustainability leaders.
In their message, they expressed deep gratitude, sharing that this support came at a critical time and allowed them to focus fully on their studies and meaningful research. They also made heartfelt du‘a for continued barakah and success for all those who gave.
This is the power of Zakat. It transforms hardship into excellence and enables students to make a global impact.
